The end of summer that is.

The middle of May marks the end of school where we live.

The minute school ends there is a sense of freedom in the house.  Not only for the kids, but for me too.

No more early mornings.  No more school lunches.  No more PTA meetings.  No more homework!

Yay!the greene family

It has been a beautiful whirlwind of a summer.    Our toes have touched the sand in San Diego, Lake Mead and Maui.

As a result, I’ve been severely out of touch with technology.  And, though I have tried to keep up with my blog, it has become near impossible these last two months.

Instead of that, there has been a lot of this:

Today I felt a bitter-sweetness take over me.

Though I look forward to the return of routine and my sanity, I morn the loss of Summer.  The slower pace.  The anticipation of a family trip. The ocean air.

This summer has been a dream come true.  Full of sunsets, family bonding and dreams realized.

But, I have deeply missed writing.

So, though I am sad to see the lazy days of summer go, I am thrilled to have the time to write again.

I have missed you 🙂

What did you do this summer?
