Just because I am the one with the blog, doesn’t mean that my husband doesn’t have some awesome words of wisdom.
Recently, he and I were having one of our times where we were feeling out of sync. Things weren’t flowing right. We just weren’t clicking.
For whatever reason, we were bickering a lot and felt an overall sense of distance.
I asked husband, “Why does it have to be so hard sometimes?”
He thought about it for a moment and said, “Because the juice is worth the squeeze.”
His answer was in reference to a quote from a movie I love called The Girl Next Door.
“Is the juice worth the squeeze?”
I giggled at his answer, but couldn’t help thinking about it.
He was so right!
The hard times and struggles do make the sweet times so much sweeter.
A happy marriage is a choice. You don’t have to work hard at it,
but when you do the rewards are sweet.
The juice is worth the squeeze.

In marriage.

I love that! And it’s really the truth! Me and my husband go through times like that as well. I think it’s perfectly normal- you are living with this person daily and when you throw in children, jobs, chores etc. Like just gets hectic.
No kidding. Life does get hectic. Sometimes it is simply survival mode.
