Ok, Ladies! It’s that time!  Time to take control of our bodies.  It is time to believe the compliments that our husbands give us.  It’s time to Get Naked!!!

This week I wanted to share some great tips from my personal trainer, Melissa.  Melissa has helped me increase my energy, loose inches, build muscle and lift my self confidence to a new level.  When she speaks, I listen 🙂

This week, I asked her to share with me one of her favorite strength training moves so that I could share it with you.

She suggests this awesome exercise for improving your overall strength.  It’s a classic bench push-up.

Why am I showing myself in these pics rather than my amazing trainer?  Because, I want you to know that if I can do it, so can you!

This is a strength exercise that anyone can do anywhere.  No equipment needed.  No excuses.  Melissa recommends doing as many push-ups as you can for 30 seconds, taking a 30 second rest and then repeating the circuit two more times.  Do this every other day and watch yourself get stronger and watch the number of push ups you can do increase.  Push-ups are a great exercise because they work the whole body including the chest, triceps, abs, quadriceps and more!.

Try  this move on a bench, a chair pushed up against a wall, the kitchen sink or the floor.    Don’t forget, everyone is at a different fitness level.  That’s ok!  If you find this move to be too challenging, you can do floor push-ups on your knees or do this move standing upright doing your push-ups against a wall.  The most important thing is that you keep your form correct!

Remember, before starting any workout or diet program, check with your doctor first.
